Fall Fruit Salad

It is time to enjoy our fall fruits! This fruit salad focuses on three autumn loves: pomegranates, grapes, and apples. While eating the fruit plain is just as delicious, squeezing fresh lemon juice adds a nice kick of citrus and Vitamin C (much needed for cold and flu season!) while a few dollops of Greek yogurt adds creaminess, protein, and probiotics. Not to mention the fruits naturally contain antioxidants, fiber, and potassium. Talk about a powerful combination!

This would be great for parties and gatherings, as a snack, or even for dessert!

Tips:
  • While I chose Greek yogurt for a thicker texture and for protein, you can definitely swap with any yogurt you love!
  • Play around with citrus. Limes and oranges would be fantastic alternatives. Add the zest of your citrus if you desire a stronger citrus flavor.

Ingredients
  • 1 cup of grapes, rinsed and dried
  • 1 apple, cored and sliced
  • 1/2 lemon
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt, plain
  • Seeds of 1 small pomegranate
Instructions
  1. ​In a bowl, combine the grapes and apple slices.
  2. Squeeze 1/2 of a lemon over the fruit and toss until evenly coated with lemon juice.
  3. Divide the fruit into 4 small serving bowls.
  4. With a spoon, add a few dollops of Greek yogurt over each fruit bowl.
  5. Sprinkle the pomegranate seeds over each bowl before serving.
  6. Serve and enjoy!
